Ooooo baby.....weight.

As Im sure all of you know (by all I mean maybe like 3 readers, but I like to pretend I have more. Makes my posts seem more purposeful). Anyway....As Im sure all of you know, I am a photographer. My photography journey started by doing maternity pictures. Since then, I have done many maternity shoots. I say all of this to justice this next statement.

I am an exceptionally large pregnant woman.

I can say this because I have seen a lot of pregnant women, up close and personal. What Ive found is that there are a few categories of pregnant women:

1.) Skinny, Belly Only- like no fat what-so-ever. Just a round ball of baby. These girls where their pre pregnancy jeans to the hospital to deliver and to go back home. We all secretly hate these girls just a little bit.

2.) The Healthy Ones- These are the women who started out in fairly good shape and get a little extra weight in the face, maybe arms, a little bit wider hips. They look healthy and pregnant and beautiful. They are in their pre pregnancy stuff within 3 months.

3.) The Transformation- This is me. A complete overhaul of size to accommodate their average size baby. The ones who get asked regularly if they are having multiples, only to be shocked to find out there really is only one baby. Those ones who balloon from toes (literally) to head. They are asked everyday from about 6 months on when they are going to pop. The ones who start out average size and turn obese while creating child. The ones who gain the recommended 25-35lbs by month 5.

You know what...it is what it is. I really hate being pregnant watching myself balloon up without any control. It just sucks. It also sucks to be post pregnancy and feel huge and fat and bluh. I aint got no secrets....I gained 55 lbs with Landon and 61 with Lydia (I would like to proudly add that I did NOT break 200 lbs with either. 199, 196...but not 200.) Its a sad reality Ive just learned to swallow and go with it.

Needless to say as the pounds shed I am more than grateful. I had hovered in the same weight since about Christmas, until YESTERDAY! I was down another 3 lbs! Which, puts me at a loss of 51 lbs! Woop woop! 10 more to go and Ill be pre pregnancy (well, in theory. The jiggles I have to lose I don't think could even be erased with 10 lbs.) Nonetheless, I was feeling pretty good! No great, but good. Probably shouldnt have gotten so greedy though and tried on my small jeans cause it sort of set the tone off....but Im choosing to still be positive!

And no...there will be no picture with this post. Im not feeling that good.

The two I birthed, I gained! I think 45 and 60 pounds (and I actually think I looked better with number 2:-). But, thankfully I lost it all by about a year ish. Praise the Lord for nursing - it really worked a miracle for me! I know some people are not as lucky and I feel bad for them. Keep up the good work Jenna! Often times it comes off in spurts and then it'll stay there for a while before another spurt happens.

Oh Jenna! I'm glad you did another post :) I hear you with the baby weight. The mass majority of mine came off right away, but I still have at least 5 more to go that WILL NOT come off, and it's creating a horrid muffin top! We started a gym membership at a little gym by our house back in December and I have gone ZERO times. If only Owen would enjoy the daycare like I think he should...

Oh Jenna, how I love you. I hold on to baby weight for a while. the last 10 lbs usually don't come off until I am done nursing - which was the only plus to Micah weaning himself!

I've got about 5 more to go for Micah's pre-preg weight, and another 5 after that for Caleb's pre-preg weight, and another 10 after that for wedding day weight - that's my goal - to fit in my wedding dress again for when we renew our vows!
