Daddy is finally home

So after being gone for 13 days, Kirk finally graced us with his presence. No elk, but who's counting right? ;) He seemed to have a great time with his dad, uncle, and grandpa so I'm happy for him.
Now to the most important question....did Landon give him the cold shoulder?
As soon as Kirk called and said he would be home in about 10 minutes I was exclaiming with great excitement, "Dada's almost here!" causing my precious little son to start his fuss/fast breath/happy sound and running to and from that little window. Once daddy pulled in and the puppy ran up to Landon he was instantly giggling (Landon, not the dog. That would be creepy Althought Im pretty sure Macy was glad to be home too). When Landon heard dada's voice, the fuss/fast breath/happy sound took off again.

Daddy's arms reached out. Landon paused. Would he turn away? Give him the pouty lip? Bury his head onto my shoulder. Nope. Arms reached straight to his daddy. As cute as the face was on my precious son, I was more warmed by the one on my husband. So in love with our son.

Since than they'v been pretty inseparable. Kirk took him to Sharis for breakfast the next morning so I could "sleep in." (Which if he wakes me up to tell me he is leaving and ask what he should give him to eat and how to dress him doesnt really let me continue sleeping, but it was the thought that counts!) Here are some pics of my guys watching the John Deere video. (Ugh.)
This one just cracks me up. He is such a boy. In a tv daze, mesmerized by good 'ole John Deere:)

We're sure going to miss daddy AGAIN this weekend when he takes off to Seattle. Go Hawks! (or whatever) ;)

Jammin with Bapa

Today we spent the day at my parents house. I painted my mom's kitchen while they worked on raking the leaves. After lunch my dad took his usual music break from life. This time Landon joined him. Very sweet. Oh, did I mention that Grandpa (pronounced 'Bapa') is his newest and most favorite word?

Since Daddy's gone...

With Kirk gone, we have had quite a bit of crap hit the roof. First Landon comes down with two ear infections and crupe, giving us about 3 days of constant crying and fussing. Than the back sliding door gets shattered from the lawn getting mowed. Here are a few pics we've been sending to Daddy to make him miss us so much that he will come home so overwhelmed with love for us we forget that we are a little ticked he took off in the first place.

This was him ticked when we were going to the doctor (look like anyone you know? how embarassing.)

Bath time is usually Daddy time so this will especially melt his heart.

He was very sad when he woke up from his nap. (Um hi, we are so matching here.)

I dont know why we just melt when he sits in the chair and watches cartoon with his milk. But it does. This is where he always goes to look for Daddy. Very sad.

Cade Bug

I got to go see my besty Megan on Saturday and hang with her and her family for the afternoon. I remembered how hard it was to get pictures of little guys who are either constantly fussing, plugged up with a pacifier, or sleeping! We got a few cute shots though. It was so much fun just chatting with my besty. Im not even going to make mention of the fact that she will probably not be moving back here for a LONG time:( :( :( :(
He is seriosuly so stinkin cute. And he is looking more like Megan which is very fun.
This one is hilarious because he looks so old and like a tough guy!
This one cracks me up! "Mom get away, I am sleeping!"
This is Jace, Cade's cousin. I took his picture when he was in is mommy's tummy.

Halloween

So like 3 weeks ago our front porch light went out, and being that the outside stuff is Kirk's responsibility and the inside is mine, it hadn't been replaced. Knowing that Halloween was coming I went to the store and got new light bulbs for them. I laid them out for Kirk who dismantled the fixture and realized I had gotten the wrong size bulbs. Since it was already dismantled we decided that we would just replace them cause they were ugly anyways. Long story short, it didnt get replaced in time for trick or treaters to know that we were home so I didnt bother getting any candy. And yet, we still had kids coming up to the door. So I packed up my little chicken, our traditional pumpkin casserole and headed to my parents house with a long creepy driveway that never gets trick or treaters.

I could NOT get him to pose for me so this is the best I got. Laying an egg?

With Grandma Jan...still wouldnt look at the camera!
