The whole solid food process has been a little stressful for me. At first, I didnt want to start it. Than I did and I hated it. It was such an adjustment to our schedule and really seemed fine without it. Slowly we worked breakfast and dinner into our routine, than lunch. He started to have favorites and dislikes and the process became another way to see my little man be independant and really show who he is. I love it. The time came to introduce finger foods and he was not having it! He gags and chokes so bad. Again, I got a little stressed, but by today he is eating like a pro. Pasta, pancakes, peas and carrots, shredded chicken, you name it! And, one of my favorite little quirks that he does is after ever bite, let me make it clear...EVERY bite, he follows it with a "Mmmm." Always has. It is so funny. I think it is a funny habit of his but it is so cute when you can tell he really likes what he is eating because the Mmm gets more high pitched! I love my little munchkin:)
He is slowly starting to talk. Mostly he can say "Dada," "Nana" which is Mama, "Ducky," "Da" which is 'all done,' occasionally "gaga" for grandma or grandpa, and "Ya." As for non verbal communication, he has the "all done" motion down and the "No" head shake down like a pro. You simply ask him, "Landon, no?" and the head starts shaking! So cute!
He is learning a lot, I can tell. It is just sitting inside that little head of his. He is absorbing so much I am excited to watch it all start pouring out.
