So we are all finally feeling better around here. Phew...that was a NASTY flu! And its still sweeping...my poor mom and dad both have it now. YUCK-Y!
Im glad Im feeling better today, for many reasons. One is because I had to exert a good amount of energy to vacuum and wipe down our living room furniture to SELL! Yes, Im selling our fun-house-of -furniture. We bought our furniture about 3 years ago, and loved it. SO comfortable, sleek, microfiber. It was just what we wanted. Well, I think what we actually wanted was a huge bonus room (which we do not have) and bought furniture accordingly. If only we had been smart enough to realize the furniture was ginormeous when a.) The sales men says "Ya, this is our most popular set for bonus rooms." to which we replied, "No, its going in our living room." Or maybe even b.) When the delivery man had to stack the pieces on top of each other when they brought them in because I had no idea how I was going to configure and make room for them all.
In the last 2 years I have worked up 2 different configurations, both of which have left us with slim to none walking space in the room. Im not entirely sure what finally pushed me over the edge, but I just couldn't take it anymore. I have got to get something smaller. Our living room is our only living space, so we are in it all the time. I need it to be relaxing and peaceful, which it is not, so I decided to try and sell it and get something else.
You know what else isn't relaxing and peaceful? Craigslist. Uhg....oh how I dread Craigslist. Great finds, hate to sell. After greasy, cussy, bloody stranger man came and got our last couch, Id vowed that I would never let a Craigslist buyer in my house ever again. But how else was I going to sell my entire living room set? I began to pray. God must have known how much my heart needed to feel rested and at peace in my home. A couple of days after I decided to try and sell our furniture, I had a few girlfriends over for a craft day and was telling them about my decision. One friend chimed in that they had been wanting to get some furniture for their large open bonus room (lucky ducks). Long story short, without having to try, I sold our set! (Well, 3 of 4 pieces. Anyone need a loveseat?!!!)
So now I am daydreaming and designing an all new living room! How fun is that?!
Now that my kids are up I am finding it hard to get any full thoughts across, so I will try and post soon some of the ideas/projects I have in mind for the new room. Id love your opinions!

Worst Flu of my Life!
Some people say that after being married for awhile you start to lose that sense of bonding and can start to find it difficult to find the time just to be together. Clearly these people have never had the flu with their spouse before, because let me tell you, its an experience I wouldn't want to share with anyone else.
This weekend we had the mother of all flus sweep through our house. In fact, we are still very much recovering. Last week Landon complained of a tummy ache on Tuesday, threw up after his nap, then was totally fine. Lydia had been spitting up everything she ate, but was still acting happy as can be. I started feeling super tired on Thursday, and sort of cruddy, but that was as far as it went.
Until Saturday. Oh, Saturday.
I had felt totally fine all morning. Friday we had gone to some friends for dinner, and then Saturday morning I got up and did my last family shoot, all before heading down to Corvallis for the game. It wasn't even until the 4th quarter that I started feeling achey and realized I had to throw up. (Ummmm is there anything worse that puking in a public toilet? Few things if any....) The drive home was pure torture. I didn't have a minute of relief until maybe like midnight, which gave me about 2 hours before I heard Kirk downstairs hopping on my party train. I kid you not...the WORST FLU EVER!
Niether of us could get out of bed in the morning and we were SO BLESSED that Kirk's mom had just had this flu last week so she was able to come down and watch the kids for us all day. Literally, all day. My husband and I laid in bed all day long. Together. Well, in between taking turns puking.
If your marriage is feeling a little stale, come on over! We will pass on this ultimate marriage bonding flu to you and yours! Its highly contagious. Our neighbors got it, and the family we had dinner with Friday night. How nice are we?!
Ok babe, I love you, but next time....how about a movie?

Getting back in the rhythm
Hi all (and by all I mean the few that have kept me in their blog roll even though I haven't posted in like...ages.) I will say, I sit here thoroughly confused. What the heck, Blogger? Felt the need to re invent your self? Good grief! I supposed I can mildly relate, actually.
The last few months I have been on a great journey. Difficult, full of lots of big choices, but very heart fulfilling. I plan to blog about many of my epiphanies in the near future, but for now I just had to post SOMETHING to force myself back in the groove. If you read this, will you comment? This way Ill know people actually read my blog. Otherwise, what's the point? I might as well just keep a journal! lol No no, that wont do. My hand writing is pitiful (Ill touch on that more in a future post as well.)
Ive been wanting to get back in the blog groove for awhile, but the other day I took this photo and realized, I needed a place to share these sweet moments with people in my life! Since Im not on Facebook anymore (again...future post coming on that subject) I decided Blogger would be my one place to connect and share. I mean, photos like this need to be shared. Sigh. I love my family.
Decisions decisions....shower, keep blogging? Shower? Keep Blogging? *sniff sniff*
Shower it is.
(You're all riveted by this post, Im sure. You're welcome.)
