Easter

So I know Im late in the week to get these up but there is something going on with our computer...virus, Im not sure. Anyways, here are a few pictures from Easter.

Side Note: Why is it that my child has to be one of the ones who HATES to have his picture taken? My hope would be that as a photographer, my child would just be a ham in front of the camera. Not so...he HATES it (unlike daddy). All I wanted was a cute little picture of him in his Easter outfit but a.) He wouldnt look at the camera, b.) He wouldnt let go of his tie!

Its a Girl!

Ok, for those of you biting your lip everytime you are around us (mom) and trying so hard not to ask when the next one is coming....NO, we are NOT pregnant. But, we did get a little girl on Sunday.

Her name is Vimbisoyashe, we will call her Vimbi:) She is our sponser child from South Africa. Kirk and I had always talked about sponsering a kid but you know you hear all this stuff about how organizations arent legitimate, etc. So sick. But, we had a group of kids from South Africa come to perfrom at our church on Sunday and the organization they are with had tables set up. You actually "picked" your kid, which I thought was a little wierd. But, I prayed. I prayed for God to make it clear which "kid" was for us. I really wanted a little girl and when I walked up to the table I saw pamphlet and pamphlet of little boys. Than, one little girl. On the whole table, there was one girl. And she was adorable. She is 4 years old, born Jan. 6th, has lost both parents to AIDS, no siblings, and is being raised by her aunt. It is SO sad, but Kirk and I both felt so special when we looked at her little picture. We felt a pull toward her, which is only a thing God can do in our hearts.
Meet Vimbi:)

Easter Egg Hunt

So I could very easily unload all of my disappointment and frustrations with the Easter Egg hunt that Evergreen put on today, but instead I will skip all of that and just show you the cute pics we got out of it:)
We had to explain to him carefully what the bucket was actually for. He still preferred the hat:)
Waiting for them to cut the stringGetting is first Easter Egg!
He LOVED the bunnies and goats at the petting zoo. "Hi Bunny!" "Hi goats!"

Me and my boy.

Petting the goatsChecking out the helicopter that EB flew in on EB was trying to be sweet to Landon, I know...but he just doesnt like people in his face! Its blurry but you can totally see howpissed Landon was at the EB for touching his face (lol)
