May or May Not Monday

I may or may not have filled half of the drawers on the advent calendar with candy I knew Landon wouldn't eat, to be given the candy by default.

I may or may not have put the Christmas lights on the house on backward, only to make the hubby go to the hardware store and get a more neutral (non orange) extension cord to thread all across the front of the house, instead of taking down the lights and redoing them correctly.

I may or may not have realized how much I really do love living in the same town I grew up in at the mere sight of my son's face as he took in the beauty that is 3rd St at Christmas time. I also may or may not have had a flood of memories in that moment of parades, tree lightings, and midnight services as I drove down holiday mainstreet.

I may or may not be making Twilight references all through out the day; from the sparkling frost on the sides of the street, expecting to see a giant board of graduation caps as I scroll through Pinterest, or seeing a guy post on facebook about a wolf he shot and wondering if it was part of the tribe.

I may or may not be wearing a party hat as I type this because my son is extatic to go to his friend's birthday party tonight.

I may or may not be having way too much fun with Gelato, our elf on the shelf. I may or may post some pictures if I ever upload them from my phone.

In the meantime...here are a few pics from the hanging of the lights this weekend!

trying to figure out exactly what the heck those mittens were all about.
When on EARTH did my baby boy get so big??
Our humble abode in full festive glory.

How did you connect the lights all the way on the top level? Our roof is kind of like yours, it skips up so there's no way to connect the lower lights to the upper on one strand. So we just haven't done it. Would like to, though.

@Jessi- We just run an extension cord along the roof and down to connect with the lower level ones. Hence the need for neutral colored extension cords. Mama is just NOT ok with a bright orange extension cord sprawled across my roof!

I feel you. Jonathan couldn't care less but I couldn't stand that.

My turn... I may or may not have thought "how do you put Christmas lights on backward?" while reading your post, only to realize this afternoon that I did the same thing with the first strand, so i reversed it... and when I was finished with all of them, realized that I actually had it right the first time.
