Landon's 3rd Birthday Party

We were able to have an amazing birthday party for our little man this year! We were soooo blessed to have Kirk's parent's church let us borrow their giant bouncy house for FREE! It was a huge hit with the kiddos for sure! We decided on a digger theme because our little man LOVES diggers of all sorts.

We were also SO blessed to have so many people come and celebrate with us. July is such a busy month and we know people have so mnay obligations that for so many people to be free and come was seriously amazing. Thanks everyone for helping us celebrate our little man!

This last picture pretty much sums it up after everyone left.
-Landon playing with his dugger
-His 3 birthday hat documenting the year
-My swollen (and Im talking SWOLLEN) little feet finally kicked up.
-Successful party:)

Landon's 3 Year beach Pics

We headed down to the beach on Sunday afternoon the week before Landon's birthday. Hit up the outlet mall than onto the sand to scoop and dump for hours:) I of course brought my camera, and also through in a bottom up shirt for mr L incase he would oblidge me and let me snap a few pics to document is 3rd year. Its frustrating to me that people hire me to document THEIR child's milestones, but I can never seem to get as 'professional' looking and frameable pics of my ownlittle guy. Luckily, he not only let me put his nice shirt on (saying 'Hey, this looks like grandpa Doug!' teehee) but he hammed it up pretty good for me and let me get some adorable shots (if I do say so myself!)

3 years already...tear.

Remodels!

We have been working really hard since about last October on various projects around the house. And when I say we, I mean mostly my dad. And myself. Here are a few before and after pics of our projects.

This picture shows: painting the walls, builing into the right wall a built in desk and cupboard, and the carpet what was installed down the hall and in in all the rooms.
This shows the kitchen. We painted the cupboards white, the walls to carry on through the dining, hallway and living room, added new hardware, new tiled counter tops, and a new sink and faucet. Voula!
My dad also installed all new trim through out the house and frames out all of the doors. He put new counters in our upstairs bathroom (which I should take a picture of, come to think of it....)

Feels good to make our home a little more updated and personal! Thanks, dad, for ALL of your HARD work! If anyone needs work on their house....HE IS YOUR MAN!!!

Underwear

Ok so at Christmas, in my family, stockings are a pretty big deal. They arent just random candies and goofy gifts, they have like really good stuff in them. I think mom went all out one year and set the bar so high she could never come down. Anyhoo...one thing she always puts in them is underwear (shoved way at the bottom in the toe, incase we had extra company we wouldnt pull them out and get embarassed. So thoughtful.) I remember the year when she got us thongs. Gone were the days of flowery briefs and into young womenhood. Than there were the underwear from a couple years ago. Both Candice and I dug to the toe and pulled out these black and white striped briefs. As we took off the ribbon and unrolled them...they just kept unrolling. They were seriosuly HUGE. We looked at each other, than at mom, in total confusion. "What the heck mom? Why are they so huge?" "Ya, I dont know. Im sure I got the right size. They must just run big!" Needless to say, we laughed. Hard. Like...they were THAT big.

Starting about 4 months ago Ive had a movie flashback every morning while getting dressed. Chris Farley. David Spade. Tommy Boy. Yup...'fat guy in a little coat.' Only my referance was to my underwear. I just kept squeezing into what was clearly a drawer full on pre pregnancy panties. I did my best with the stretchy ones but who was I kidding. Every morning I would look at those black and white striped briefs....absolutely DETERMINED to not try them on in fear of them fitting.

Than today...it happened. My uncomfortable badonkadonk convinced me to try them on. And yes, they fit. Damnit. I REALLLLLLLLY cant wait to meet this little girl...but I REALLLLLLLY hate being pregnant.

Uhg.
