4th of July

We had a great 4th this year. Better than last years, that's for sure. But I guess when you arent pushing your due date, fat, swollen, and cranky....anything is better!

We went out to Kirk's grandparents to celebrate that 4th and a little double birthday party for Finn and Landon. Jesse and Marisa were still here with the kids, Kirk's parents and grandparents, my parents and grandma, and Lando's (that is what his cousins call him) godparents (and our best buddies) the Kauers were out there. The sun didnt decide to show its pretty face but we still had a fun time in the 90 degree pool! Kirk I didnt manage to stay up for any fireworks...but oh well! We heard them all night long. God Bless America!!!

Our trip to Seattle

Landon, Betsy (Mom in law) and I trucked up to Seattle to spend a few days with my sister in law and her family. That Friday was Finny (our nephew)'s 1st birthday. We got to hang out and celebrate little Finn and it was very special. Than on Saturday we took the kids over to their church where Marisa, along with the other woman of Woman of Purpose (a charity organziation that raises money to help stop child trafficking through out the world) had put on an even called Pictures for a Purpose. Four professional photographers graciously gave their time for a day and took pictures of kids and babies for a very reasonable price. We got a little sneak peak but the pics arent up yet. It was all around a fun trip!

Landon's 1st Steps

Last Saturday our little man took his first steps! I had gone to Lianne's bridal shower and when I was two blocks from home Kirk called and said, "Guess what! He took 2 steps!" I rushed throught the door and he took 5 more to me! He hasnt done it much since, but he took a few yesterday. Here is a video from my phone!

Standin' Landon!

Ok, so Mr. Landon is SO close to walking! He stand un assisted for like 30 seconds (before slowly squatting down)! He looks like such a big boy! And he has 8 teeth which shine in his huge smile. Unfortunatly he is fitting a bit of a bug:( He had a 101 degree fever Thursday through Saturday and he is still just real fussy and doesnt seem like his usually happy self. He is make some of the greatest noises lately. Growls, "oh!'s", "ya!'s". He has the cutest little voice:) We took cousin Owen to the Dollar Store yesterday and we got the most priceless video! As we were driving to the store though I turned to Kirk and said, "Why do I feel like we just fast forwarded 5 years." Owen says from the back seat, "There are 3 boys in this car and only 1 girl." I said, "I know."
