Happy 27th Kirk!

Kirk turned 27 yesterday. As was the day he was born, his birhtday landed on Labor Day (pun intended). On Sunday we went with Bob and Betsy to shop at Sportsman's Warehouse for Kirk's gift, which he FINALLY decided on a pistol for shooting squirrels. Seriosuly, I dont get that guy sometimes! We went to Costco after that and than back home and had e pre bday dinner. Landon didnt nap ALL day. He got a cat nap before church, than wouldnt fall asleep afterwards, finally took a half hour nap on the way home, and fell RIGHT asleep after dinner. He was such a good sport though. Here's to year 27 Kirky! May it be filled with growth, challenges, memories, and love! *cheers*

Our special date

We have some of the most amazing friends. Lianne and Jordan decided that they wanted to watch Landon for a day and plan a date for me and Kirk. They came over at 1:00 and handed us an itinerary for our day. We started out headed toward the zoo, which we missed the exit with led us on a 20 minute detour before we realized it!

Oops! Bad Co pilot:(

We walked around the zoo for a couple hours than drove to Henry's 12th St. Bar and Grill for dinner, where they had made reservations for us. The hard cider was awesome, but it took Kirk 45 minutes to chose a beer. Finally he said, "Can I get a Coor's Light?" the waitress said, "No way. After all of this you are not ordering a Coors Light. I can recommend something similar but you cannot order that." It was hilarious.
Than after dinner we were to go to The Regal Fox Tower Theater to see Mama Mia (which I only have two words for; "Poor Pierce.") We were a little early so I talked Kirk into going over to Nordstrom and trying on some designer jeans. He looked hot! It was hilarious.
Last we were supposed to go to Papa Hayden's for dessert but we were both so tired and still stuff from dinner that we decided to pass on dessert and save that for a double date that WE will take the Philips on. Thanks SO much again you guys, it was amazing.

Oh, and Landon was evidentally great for them too! (*relief*)
